The Quiet Boy - CGI Artwork

This project started with the creation of initial concept designs for both the environment and the character. The 3D modeling and UV mapping were done in Autodesk Maya, optimizing the set objects using instances and UDIMs to achieve higher texture resolution.

For the character, I began with high-poly sculpting in ZBrush, then performed retopology in Maya to ensure clean topology for animation. In the texturing phase, I baked essential maps (Normal, Ambient Occlusion, Curvature, etc.) before hand-painting detailed textures in Substance Painter.

The rigging was created in Maya using Advanced Skeleton and ngSkin Tools, allowing for a flexible and efficient character setup. I then animated the character, ensuring smooth deformations and natural movement.

For the final rendering in Unreal Engine, I assembled all assets, adjusted the lighting setup, refined the camera work, and added small environmental animations to bring more life to the scene. When applicable, I used Lumen for global illumination and Nanite for high-detail assets.

Finally, compositing and audio integration were completed in Adobe Premiere.
